How To Clean Your Flat Screen TV – The Simple Way

What’s The Easiest And Fastest Way To Clean Your Flat Screen TV?

Cleaning your flat screen tv is really not that complicated. However, it seems that it is so often left with streaks and Windex just really does not do the trick. I’m going to share with you how to clean your flat screen tv with one simple tool that makes it super easy.

How NOT To Clean Your Flat Screen TV

Whatever you do, do not use multi-purpose cleaning spray. I learned this the hard way as a new homeowner, several years ago.

Windex and other glass cleaners do okay but it really just doesn’t do the job as well as it should. It will leave streaks and you are often left wiping the screen many times over and over.

The One Thing You Need For A Streak-Free TV Screen

An E-cloth! Specifically one made for cleaning windows.

How To Clean Your Flat Screen TV With An E-cloth

First, use the cloth dry to wipe down the screen and buff out any smudges.

Second, get a small part of the cloth damp to buff out any stubborn spots or streaks

Third, use the cloth to dust off the top, sides, underneath, and back of the television. You can also use the e-cloth to dust off any surrounding electronics.

That is it! It is really that simple.

So grab yourself an e-cloth and save yourself the hassle of figuring out which glass cleaner is best.

How To Clean Your Remote and Game Controllers

While you are here I might as well tell you that your remote control and game controllers are very dirty.

These items can hold a lot of bacteria and should not be forgotten about. Let me share with you quickly how you can clean these items in a jiffy.

Step 1: Take off the backs and take out the batteries (game controllers may not have batteries).

Step 2: Make a cleaning solution with 1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol and 1/4 cup of water. Vinegar can be used if you don’t have rubbing alcohol.

Step 3: Use a cloth that doesn’t hold on to lint. An e-cloth would be perfect. Dip a small part of the cloth into the cleaning solution. Make sure the cloth is just barely wet. Then use the cloth to scrub down every part of the remote or game controller.

Step 4: Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean out all the creases and around the buttons.

Step 5: Let the remote dry and then put the batteries back in.

I hope this helped and that your television and remotes are squeaky clean. 🙂

Ecloth really makes some great products. I use them around my own house. I don’t really think about cleaning the remotely routinely, though.

Yes, ecloths are great. I’m glad you find them useful too. I don’t clean the remote routinely either, but I probably should! 🙂
